Force to be Reckoned With

Yoda would have been proud as the force was strong the with three men at the Force - 4 Man fight series.

With all fights going to the third round but not the final bell the thrills and spills had fans and fighters around New Zealand on their feet. Sigi, Alexi and Mose churned and burned through New Zealand’s top fighters and proving they have what it takes to make it the top.

For the first time in history this event was live on TV featuring all 3 disciplines - Kickboxing, Boxing and MMA – Mixed Martial Arts ).

Sigi Pasaleli hot on the kickboxing scene and now MMA sent shockwaves through Auckland with one of the most violent finishes on caught on Camera. Sigi Pasaleli although the lightest among the pack secured a unanimous victory over Cameron Tukua ( Auckland MMA ) moving onto the final against Henri Burns ( City MMA ) in what can only be described as thunderous and violent 45 seconds. A well timed right hand put Henri on his back. It was then all ground and pound until the ref quickly waved it off.

When asked bout the win Sigi was humble & grateful but was quick to call out the UFC, UFC UFC “ I want a shot at the UFC!

Alexi ‘PHET’ Serepiso ( House of Pain ) the easy going and mild mannered kiw / greek once again proved why he is the KITR Champion. Starting off against former champ and legend in kickboxing Sone ‘Arch Angel’ Vannathy ) Arch Angel Thai Boxing ) A stand up war with Sone signifying his superior boxing and body shots, Alexi weathered the storm and was always one up with consistency, well timed knees and a few litres more in the gas tank.

Moving into the final against Ian ‘Lil Machine’ Charlton, Alexi dominated with low kicks and constant pressure. Lil Machine had will and power to win however the skill, ring craft and low kick supremacy of Alexi was more than enough stopping Ian in RD 3 to secure the win for the former King in the Ring champion and now FORCE middleweight champion.

Mose ‘Iron’ Auimatagi honed in and delivered on all forms of the sweet science. After a tag and bag performance over Ivana ‘Quiet Assasin’ Siau for 3 rounds. Mose’s advancement to the final against Jordan Tai ( TK Boxing ) a mixture of pure class and stomach-turning body shots

The terrorising Tai pushed the pace but couldn’t match the angles and boxing finesse of Mose ultimately crowning Mose ‘Iron’ Auimatagi the win and new Middleweight FORCE champion.

Balls of Steel – Edwin ‘Electric’ Samy - former champion against former champion had the crowd on their feet. The guts, glory and heart shown from Edwin was unreal. Even raising his knee after a combo … the crowd had a laugh when Jordan also lifted his knee to acknowledge the kickboxing experience. Will we ever see them in a kickboxing match?

Performance of Night – 2 for the price of 1 !

Davor Mataguic ( City Kickboxing ) vs Milos Rastovic ( Australia )
Current King in the Ring champion Davor brought the heat unloaded a clip of hits on Rastovic. Powerful 1, 2 left body rip then right kicks rocked Milo. Milo weathered the storm and sent a flying knee in round 2 to slightly stumble Davor. This bout was fought to the final bell with Milos kicking his way to victory taking shots many mere mortals would have crumbled with.

David ‘ Sanchai’ Aung vs Ian ‘Lil Machine’ Charlton.
Putting the scores on doors, Sanchai was consistent in his striking and didn’t make it easy for Ian’s entry to the final. The lil machine was a lil monster with his power and authority constantly pushing the pace and landing effective shots. A very close fight with all of at us at NZ fighters craving an extra extension round!!

Special Mention –Special guests in crowd included Mark Hunt, Dan Hooker, Shane Cameron, David Tua, Israel Adesanya, Brad ‘ Quake ‘ Riddell, Joey Baylon, Chris ‘Cobra Eades, Jamie ‘Kyokushin Kid’ Eades, Michelle ‘Pressure’ Preston, Daniel Hennessey, Jason and Arna Suttie.
