The journey to INVICTA
This humble Papamoa based fighter has a will and skill set like no other. She is currently ranked No.1 in NZ and fourth in the world fighting in the featherweight division. Despite only fighting in MMA for 3 years, Faith has already reached the top of her game in NZ and is set to take on the world.
Faith 'The Immortal' Van Duin has made New Zealand women’s martial art history signing a five-fight deal with Invicta in America, the feeder competition to internationally renowned championship the UFC.
To say she has worked and trained hard is an understatement. Faith trains 5 days a week out of Hybrid MMA gym in Tauranga and has had her trainers stunned at how fast she has developed in ashort amount of time. Faith is trained in muay thai, boxing, Judo and wrestling.
Although an ultimate machine in the ring, the Immortal’s motivation has always been her 2 girls. Faith van Duin is a single mother of 2 with her mother for support as she trains and competes to show her girls that with will, perseverance and determination anything is possible. The result? A flight to America to make NZ MMA history in a debut fight facing 8th ranked featherweight fighter Charmaine “The Not so Sweet” Tweet.
Faith is also currently Storm Damage MMA's champion having defeated former NZ #1 fighter Kate De Silva in an 8 woman eliminator show in Australia showing she has what it takes to go all the way. Faith has a current fight record of 4-1.
Faith Van Duin will be ready for war at INVICTA 10 December 5th, Houston, Texas.
